International Womxn’s Day
Hey Queen!
For International Womxn’s Day this year, I’ve built The Georgie Collective Digital Haven! This little digital safe space has been built on Gadigal Land, of the Eora Nation, and I want to pay my respects to elders past, present, and emerging.
Alright, babes, I know what you’re thinking… is it a little niche for an activation for International Womxn’s Day? And you know what, I totes agree, but let me explain...The Georgie Collective is all about womxn’s empowerment and connection all year round, we breathe it, we speak it from our chest and it’s our motivation behind everything that we do. This is why I decided to create a shared digital space, a commitment to take up space all year round!
International Womxn’s Day is also a time when companies decide to take up space and bring the hard conversations around equality into the forefront of their organizations. This often means bringing in female speakers, educators, womxn of influence, and at such a point of saturation I didn’t want to contribute to merky-ing any form of amplification of these voices to ensure that these individuals are heard.
