Blog Intro Babez

Hey Queens!

I hope you’re living your most fab life, practicing self-love, and feeling yourself today (because you’re fierce)!

Welcome to The Georgie Collective blog!

But Til, aren’t blogs sooooo 2015? Yer look, I’ll address the elephant in the room, I know we’re no longer trolling through tumblrs or over-editing/over-saturating our photos by retrofitting them into a polaroid frame, but when it comes to the problem that TGC is solving there is just soo much to talk about and at this stage in our journey blogs are the best way forward. I’ve absolutely loved connecting and growing our community in 2021, but sometimes there are weeks in between when we can see one another so want to ensure you’re all staying engaged and connected, so here we go…

The Georgie Collective functions under four wellbeing pillars; mental health, physical health, financial health & something a little extra. These pillars were born out of areas of opportunity that I’ve identified womxn will benefit from because let’s get loud I will also benefit from them.

When it comes to my mental health, it’s only been in the last 6 months that I’ve truly started to practice what I preach. “That’s really hard, you need to give yourself time and space.” “Don’t overcommit yourself, you’ve got to look after you.” “Wow, there’s a lot to unpack there, maybe you should talk to a professional”. So here I am taking you on the journey.

My physical health is relatively consistent but somewhat complicated. Physical health doesn’t just encompass how many times you go to the gym, but also how your body moves, nutrition, eating habits, sexual health, menstruation support, how you feel about your body… the list goes on. I would be lying if I said I’ve got this all figured out, which is why I’m eager to explore it with you all and evolve.

I can’t even type financial health without a little smirk on my face… like babes what do you know about financial health? And that’s the point. As I mentioned, this blog isn’t about me preaching to you about topics that I’m an expert in (of which they are obviously many), but rather giving my opinion, sharing something I’ve learned, or heroing other womxn who’ve got some hot tips and tricks.

Now, my fav pillar…something a little extra. If you know me personally, then you know that I bloody love that little bit extra… if there’s a perfect balance for how many accessories to wear, flowers to buy, martinis to drink… there’s that sweet spot and then there’s that little bit extra, and that’s where I hang out. And it’s a good time (albeit somewhat contradictory to the financial health pillar, but hey we’re all learning and trying to find that balance.)

My Blog Contract & Commitment:

  • I will always write from a place of authenticity, compassion and eagerness to learn - stretch marks and all.

  • I will take all feedback and learnings on board and be challenged.

  • Remember, I’m evolving and growing with every womxn in the Collective. I don’t have it figured it, but I do have an opinion and I’m eager to learn and share with you all.

At the end of every blog post, you’ll note a section named, “The Georgie Collective Call To Action”. This will be a few summary points which gives you actionable ways to apply the blog learnings to your life.
